Galleria is popular and dependable. At lunch this Westbury institution is filled with Nassau County executives. They are made welcome and even coddled, by the restaurant’s friendly staff. The same movers and shakers return in the evening for relaxed dinners with friends or family celebrations. Rarely does the night pass without the waiters’ singing “Happy Birthday” at least once. In short; this is the kind of elegant, friendly Italian restaurant that Long Island loves. In fact, over the years, more customers have written to recommend Galleria that any other restaurant. This comfortable spot has been consistently good for over a decade and a half. It rarely disappoints.
Had an excellent meal, the service is unparalleled, there are at least 2 wait staff plus bus boys per table. They start with a small platter or dried meat, cheese and olives. My app was baked clams and pasta with veal, it was so tasty I could have had that for the main course. Dinner was pasta Fra Diablo, it could have used a bit more spice but regardless id order it again. Desert was a complimentary sampler platter accompanied with Frangelica. If you’re looking to be pampered with service and amazing food then look no further.
Generous servings started my eyes in a Voyage of Salmon draped over a house specialty Salad Absolutely delicious … My two lunch partners in crime … One had gnocchi the other fish filleted … Umm umm we shared and enjoyed. Great service and classy ambiance. Will be back soon … I impressed my friends …. Thank you Dominic
The decor is crisp and clean and modern comfortable chairs great menus and many specials. Portions were good the food was fresh and quality. the prices were reasonable and the service was attentive and the wait staff pleasant . I will do it again. Great for a business lunch or special diner.
We dined with very picky eaters and since I chose the restaurant I was not sure how it would be received. The menu is varied, the service and wine excellent and there were only rave reviews from our party of 5 from the appetizers to the entrees. I had Veal Sauce over Pappadello, not on the menu, but remember having having it previously and it was amazing. They are very accommodating and will oblige by making any dish you want as you want it. We will all certainly be back.
The “old-world charm” of this Westbury Italian is evident in its “delicious” “traditional” dishes and “beautifully appointed” dining room; live piano music on weekends enhances the already “warm setting”, as do waiters who are “attentive but nonintrusive”, and if a few feel it “could use a little update”, most urge “give it a go” – it’s “always reliable” and “worth every penny.”
